Latrobe City businesses are invited to attend Powering Latrobe, a special breakfast event on Tuesday 15 July to mark the official launch of AGL Loy Yang’s new drop-in community engagement hub at the historic Traralgon Courthouse.
Presented by AGL Loy Yang, a valued Platinum Partner of Latrobe City Business Chamber (LCBC), the event will offer local businesses with valuable insights into AGL’s current operations, upcoming maintenance and outage programs and long-term mine rehabilitation planning.
The morning will begin with breakfast and presentations at Café Evviva, Traralgon. Attendees will hear from AGL representatives about their plans leading up to the scheduled closure of Loy Yang Power Station in 2035. Key topics will include mine rehabilitation plans, community engagement and the important role local suppliers and subcontractors play in future operations.
A key feature of the event will be the Q&A discussion with AGL’s team and the chance to connect with representatives from procurement, giving businesses a clearer understanding of how to work with AGL moving forward.
Following the breakfast, attendees will walk across to the Traralgon Courthouse to explore the new drop-in hub, designed to provide transparent, ongoing consultation with the local community.
LCBC President, Peter Ceeney says he’s proud to support opportunities that keep business community informed and engaged in regional transition planning and encourages local businesses to register to attend.
The event is free for Latrobe City businesses, but tickets are limited. Bookings are essential and can be made via TryBooking https://www.trybooking.com/DCPKO
